Andrew Schwehm, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a former resident of New York City and is currently providing virtual care to New York and Georgia-based individuals. Once you contact Dr. Schwehm by either phone or email, he will set up a brief phone call to discuss your concerns. If you believe Dr. Schwehm is a good match for your treatment needs, he will set up an initial appointment. Prior to your first appointment, you will receive an email with an intake packet to review and complete.
The purpose of the initial meeting is to better understand your concerns and collaborate about establishing treatment goals. We will also clarify how individualized treatment will be tailored to your needs to allow you to accomplish your goals. Dr. Schwehm will outline various treatment options and support for each treatment. From there, you can decide if you would like to pursue treatment and set up a weekly appointment. Appropriate referrals may be provided, if necessary.
Insurance and Rates
Payment is due at the time of each appointment. Dr. Schwehm does not accept insurance. Some insurance plans include out-of-network benefits that may allow you to submit claims for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to clarify your specific behavioral health coverage. Dr. Schwehm will be happy to assist you as best as possible in navigating your insurance's reimbursement plan and to provide you with a billing statement that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
